Across the other side of the Arber is the local pub the Sailors arms it is a traditional pub with a thatched roof it is run by Anny and Amos with help from there bar made Dolly who is married to a local farmer. bill and jack  are two old retired tin miners who spend most of the day in the pub talking about the old days. Bill lives with his daughter Joyce and her son Roy the butcher roys dad died in the war well that’s what Joyce says I’m not one to gossip but I have herd he meat a girl in Singapore and never came back. Jack lives alone since his wife died in a little cottage by the harbour with a garden full off beautiful flowers Jack often brings flowers for his favourite bar made dolly his son moved away many years ago but dose come to visit and brings jacks grate grand children in the summer.
